Each year, multiple agencies in Hall County come together to provide a single registration process for families in financial need seeking Christmas assistance.
All students enrolled in a Gainesville City or Hall County School, along with their siblings, who meet financial hardship criteria are eligible to apply.
Please note that completing the registration does not guarantee assistance. Families will be prioritized and matched based on the level of demonstrated need. To register, please follow the steps below.

Complete online application
Attend one of the in-person registration nights to complete document verification. Absolutely No children are allowed for this event and will be turned away due to safety concerns. The in-person registration is mandatory.
Bring the following documents with you:
Photo Identification
Proof of Residency in Hall County
Proof of Guardianship for all children being registered(birth certificate, S.S. Card)
Proof of Income, Disability, or TANF
Attend one of the registration nights in person

After registration, each organization or sponsor will decide which families they will be able to serve. You will receive an informing you of the agency or sponsor that has selected you and the next steps for gift pick-up.
Please note that you cannot choose your agency, and you must respond to the email to confirm your participation, or your spot will be forfeited. Though we do our best to match all applicants, the need is great, assistance cannot be guaranteed.

Families who attend the in-person registration nights will be prioritized above all other applicants. We cannot guarantee that all families will be served as we are 100% dependent on the amount of sponsors willing to partner with us.

Bring what you have. At minimum we require proof of Gainesville/Hall County residency and guardianship of the children you are registering.

You may still complete an online application, but we cannot guarantee that your family will be covered. The families who attend the in-person document verification will be matched first.

The items you receive are up to the discretion of your donor and will depend on their organization guidelines or individual financial ability and preference. We are not able to ensure you will receive the items on your student’s wish list.

We do our absolute best to provide the items indicated on your child’s wish list, however this is not a guarantee as we are reliant on donations and fund raising. Families who are rude or ungrateful towards their sponsor will be banned from future registrations.

School-aged children (pre-k - 12th grade) enrolled in a Gainesville City or Hall County School will be prioritized first. Families with younger children will be matched only if resources allow. The goal is to focus our efforts on the students who are more aware of the Christmas season.

The HCC only provides resources to those who can verify residency in Gainesville City or Hall County.
